Hannun Lyn

Owner & Lead Instructor

Hannun Lyn is a ceramic artist, educator, and founder of MUD The Clay Studio. With more than two decades of experience working with clay, she is passionate about helping people discover the joy of making by hand.

Known for her warm and approachable teaching style, Hannun creates supportive learning environments where students of all skill levels can build confidence, develop technical skills, and explore their creativity. She believes pottery is about more than the finished piece - it's about slowing down, embracing the process, and finding connection through making.

Through MUD The Clay Studio, Hannun continues to foster a welcoming and inclusive pottery community where creativity, craftsmanship, and clay bring people together.

Danica Drago: instructor extraordinaire

Danica Drago is an interdisciplinary artist and ceramic arts facilitator based in Toronto. They earned their B.Des in Material Art and Design: Jewellery & Metalsmithing from OCAD University in 2015, but spent most of their time in the Ceramics department. They have led a dedicated teaching practice in ceramics for the past 9 years, working with youth and adults in local studios across the GTA. As a mostly self and community-taught ceramicist, Danica’s practice as a tool and object maker spans over a decade of working with clay, metal, and many other material languages; allowing them to offer a uniquely encouraging and exploratory making approach for students of any learning style or level of experience. They are passionate about helping people build creative skills and confidence, getting a little dirty, and having a lot of fun.

Wendy Nichol: our amazing ceramic technician

Wendy Lisa Nichol is a Toronto based ceramic artist. She received a BFA in Drawing & Painting with a minor in Material Arts & Design from OCADU in 2014. With 10+ years of experience in ceramics, the work she creates is hand-built by coiling and slab building with clay. Wendy alternates her practice to find the balance between sculptural art objects and unique functional homewares. She has worked as a Studio Technician for the past 6 years in clay studios around Toronto, sharing knowledge and caring for the clay community.
